The Civic Museum of Siena is probably one of the most significant attractions of the city, an unmissable place where the beauty of the Palazzo Pubblico is enhanced by the frescoes that make its rooms unique in the world, such as the famous cycle of frescoes on the Good and Bad Government of Ambrogio Lorenzetti.

A vibrant, contemporary and fresh visual identity for the Civic Museum of Siena. We sought to create a broad identity that would tend to be welcoming, inclusive and connect the old and the new, the classic and the modern. The new logo is quite contemporary, but derives from the essence of the letterforms and symbols found in the frescoes.
The journey for the creation of the coordinated image its root in the intricate geometries and rich motifs discovered within the museum walls themselves. This is not just a starting point, but a light of inspiration, a true tribute to the sophistication and artistic mastery that reside within the museum. Every curve, every line draws life from the extraordinary works preserved and the countless stories told by the single object, transforming them into a dynamic and unified image that shines with history and culture.
The visual identity of the Museo Civico di Siena plays with the colors and shapes of the logo by superimposing the brand itself, creating a new and fresh but at the same time inclusive and accessible universe. The patterns created by the union of the shapes are reminiscent of the vibrant and complex frescoes found inside the museum, but the final result gives us a modern and new look. The visual identity of the museum works well on paper print, on posters, welcome banners at the museum entrance, stationary and merchandising, but also in the digital universe, thanks to the creation of a complete design system that makes the customer independent in the creation of new multimedia projects thanks to the development of precise and clear guidelines.
